This morning, we’ve got the pleasure to welcome Project Pablo as a special guest for A tribute to the House Music of the beginning of the 90s ! As an eighties and nineties’s House Music lover, it was a great surprise to discover the first LP of Patrick Holland as Project Pablo. The Canadian producer gathered spirits of Pal Joey, Wayne Gardiner or Franckie Knuckles in a very rich album.

Fresh wind for House Music

Old schools samples and uncluttered arrangements give a vintage look to his House. It’s in the choice of every little side sounds we can found P.Holland’s contemporary side. He’s definitly a child of New-York House Music who respect the founding fathers. “I Want to Believe” is almost a classic but also a fresh wind for all fans of the first golden age of the House Music, and “The Feeling” is his first Hit !

#His classy selection

##Florian Kupfer ~ SAD 001 A P.P: Sade’s smoothness mixed with the blissfully raw feelings of Florian really catch me. Percussion on the brink of being too blown out, and an over simplified yet encapsulating structure make it very fun to play out. A highly recommended 12-inch!

Florist ~ Marine Drive

P.P: Vancouver sounds that make me miss home. Laid back grooves drench this tune with the Canadian West Coast feeling. Cheeky vocal murmurs of “Exclusive”, and “DJ”, poke out of the playful breaks and bongos, while major key chords bounce around. An uplifting hitter!

Infamous Boogieman ~ Revenge Tactics

P.P: The most recent release on a label I curate, ASL Singles Club. The Infamous Boogieman blends a ripping guitar solo with a bass line and drum combo that makes me weak at the knees!

That’s all folks! A big thank to Patrick Holland aka Project Pablo !
